School Zoning in The Woodlands, Texas
Three school districts serve The Woodlands, and a village name alone will not tell you which school your child attends. Tap a village below to see how zoning works there.
MOST OF THE WOODLANDS
Conroe ISD
- Serves every village except Creekside Park, plus most of Sterling Ridge
- Two high school pathways: The Woodlands High School and College Park High School
- Path: Elementary (K-4) then Intermediate (5-6) then Junior High (7-8) then High School
- Which high school you feed into depends on your elementary zone
CREEKSIDE PARK
Tomball ISD
- Creekside Park is the Harris County village, south of Spring Creek
- Three neighborhood elementaries (K-4), then one 5-8 campus
- High school has traditionally been Tomball High, but a 2026 zone reset means you should check the address
WESTERN EDGE
Magnolia ISD
- A small western slice of Sterling Ridge (the May Valley area) and nearby Del Webb
- Ellisor Elementary, Bear Branch Intermediate, Bear Branch Junior High, Magnolia High
- Check the exact address

Striped tiles mean the high school depends on the exact street.

Why it is confusing
Villages are not districts.
Village lines and school district lines do not match. Creekside Park and a slice of Sterling Ridge show it.
Conroe has two paths.
Most elementaries feed one high school, but Buckalew, Bush, Galatas, Glen Loch and Powell each have small named zones that go the other way. Wilkerson Intermediate sends some zones to each high school.
Nearest is not always assigned.
A school can sit in one village and serve homes in another. Always go by the address, not the map.
Before you buy or enroll, confirm the exact address
- Look up the street address on the district's own zone tool (links below).
- Ask the district to confirm the assignment in writing, especially near the Magnolia edge or a feeder split.
- Check again before closing. Districts can redraw zones and open new campuses.
Prepared for Chase Giles. Conroe ISD pathways are based on the district's 2026-27 feeder maps. Tomball and Magnolia details come from public district sources. Last reviewed October 2026. This is a general guide, not an official zoning determination, and school assignments can change. Always verify with the district.
